About our School

Elwood College has been welcoming and providing a high-quality education and support for internioanl students for decades.  The college is located in the beachside leafy suburb of Elwood with short walks to the beach, cafe's and public transport and only a 15-minute drive to the city.

Our international students enjoy studying and living in Melbourne, becoming valued members of our college community and joining in a wide range of sport, travel and social activities arranged by the college.

Our dedicated English language centre, orientation program and caring homestay hosts ensure students quickly adapt to life in Melbourne.

We have many people to assist international students when they join our program. Firstly, you will be met at the airport by one of our staff and transported to your homestay, which our international program coordinator will arrange for you. The homestay parent will help you with travel to and from the college as well as providing an inviting and friendly home for you.

Our teachers are all very welcoming to international students in class. We also have many assistants to help you in your first language and English. We will introduce you to other students.

For a personal story, read this article by International Student Saki Namiki, who came to Australia knowing very little English. After three years at Elwood College, Saki has been accepted into a prestigious English-language university at home in Japan.
